Welcome to the online presence of GUYFEST!

KARIB NATION’s second annual Guyana Cultural Festival “Guyfest 2011” will be held on Saturday July 2nd 2011 at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville, Maryland. Drawing from the fervor, excitement and high energy performance by Guyanese premier entertainers last year, this year promises to be even bigger and better. Last year the event brought together the colorful diversity of Guyanese nationals and their Caribbean-American neighbors who celebrated the event greeting and meeting old friends, as they rediscover the exotic flavors of a variety of Caribbean delicacies, while enjoying more than eight hours of pulsating performances. The festival is fast becoming the biggest summer, family focused event in the Washington, DC area, and this year promises to build on the success and excitement generated at last year's, and aims to attract more that 7,000 Caribbean American and Guyanese nationals from the Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia areas. The day long festival begins at 10.00 AM and will end at 10.00 PM and will feature a dedicated area for children's activities, including Clowns, Storytelling, Face Painting, Maypole plaiting...
