Karib Nation’s fourth annual Guyana Cultural Festival will be held on Saturday July 27/2013 from 11.00 am – 10.00 pm at the NEW location BRANDYWINE LIONS CLUB PARK in Brandywine, Prince George’s County Maryland.
Drawing from the fervor, excitement and high energy performance by Guyanese premier entertainers last year, this year promises to be even bigger and better. Last year the event brought together the colorful diversity of Guyanese nationals and their Caribbean-American neighbors who celebrated the event greeting and meeting old friends, as they rediscover the exotic flavors of a variety of Caribbean delicacies, while enjoying more than eight hours of pulsating performances.
The culture rich festival is fast becoming the biggest summer, family focused event in the Washington, DC area, and this year promises to build on the success and excitement generated at last year’s, and aims to attract more that 7,000 Caribbean American and Guyanese nationals from the Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia areas. The day long festival begins at 11.00 AM and will end at 10.00 PM and will include a dedicated area for children’s activities, including Clowns, Storytelling and Face Painting.
Musical performances by JUMO & ADRIAN DUTCHIN, SHATTA YOUTH to name a few, Steel Pan Music, Arts & Crafts Displays, Fashion Show, Tassa Drummers, Afro Drummers, Traditional Indian and African cultural dancing.
